Here are some photos from my first year of beekeeping.

My wife painted all of our hive boxes before we ever got bees so that we could put them right in as soon as we got them.

The yard we had at the time was full of clover and I would see them in the clover gathering nectar. I still go our and watch them around the landing board, it's amazing to watch them flying and cleaning their hive.

And yes, Even then I didn't wear a jacket.
