Follow up to June Bee Club Meeting

Vickie TROUT -
Beekeepers,
Thanks to everyone who has signed up for our volunteer opportunities. For Sunday, June 25th Wanamaker Old Settlers Day Street Fair we could still use a couple of people early/mid afternoon for a couple of hours to give the honey sellers a break.
For The State Fair on Wednesday, August 9th we need people to work the evening shift from 3:00 - 8:30. You get a free ticket to get into the fair and the Club pays for your parking. It's a great opportunity for new beekeepers to learn. There is always something to do in the booth - sell lemonade, ice cream or honey, run the video, stock shelves, etc. You don't have to be a bee expert to have a great time.
For the Southeastway Park Bug Fest on Sunday August 27, we need at least 4 more volunteers (6 would be better). This is a great event for families. You get in free and help at the beekeeping station and your family can take in the event for free. Club members can also sell honey here. At the station we talk about beekeeping, use lots of our educational materials and show off our bee equipment. No experience required.
Thanks so much, Vickie
