The next Indy Southside Beekeepers Club meeting will be July 7, 2026 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Franklin Township Civic League office, 8822 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239.

REMINDERS

1) We still need volunteers for the state fair! If your name is not on the attached signup sheet, please consider volunteering by sending me an email with your name and time slot.
2) Bug fest is coming up! Please consider volunteering to help out with that as well, apply the same way.

Attached is the Agenda for Tuesday's meeting. Also attached is information for the Farm Market and the July to do list.

Concerning the Farm Market, this is for those who like to use glass jars for their honey. I have met with the organizer and I will say, this could be a boon for us. I have registered for the dates August 1, 15, 29 and September 12th for my business. I am planning to have educational things as well.

Attached is the vendor agreement and Welcome letter.

All,

Just a quick request from the Civic League. If you have unwanted shoes or boots in ANY condition, please consider donating them. We are in a partnership with Changing Footprints, an organization that gives shoes and clothing to various groups of underprivileged people. Worn out shoes are recycled, e.g. ground for playground material. We are currently a little behind on our goal. You may have noticed a container with an old shoe glued on top located to the right of the door when you enter the building. That's for the donations. Please keep the Civic League in mind as a place to bring you unwanted shoes any time you attend a meeting. Thanks!

Can't make the meeting tonight unfortunately but wanted to let the club know we have queens for sale. Went on vacation and have a couple tiny swarms that have settled in to empty hives while we were away. Probably still too small to sell as nucs but happy to show you in person if that's what you need.

Otherwise we have three queens available. Reach out if you need them,
