Hello Members,
Come on along, come on along, while the weather's nice and bright.
Each year The Beekeepers of Indiana have two booths at the Indiana State Fair. One booth in the Ag-Hort building has an observation hive, sells honey and hive products along with honey ice-cream and honey lemonade, shows industry videos and shares information with other fair go-ers. The other booth is in the Pioneer Village sells honey and hive products and makes candles from 100% beeswax.
The money made at these booths helps us fund our programs and the share that each local club gets helps them with their local events. If your club would like to sign up for a day, we have five days open. If you are unable to work a shift on the day your local club is working, you may volunteer on any other day.
Our volunteers have a great time and lots of fun. Shifts are 9:00 am - 2:30 pm or 2:30 - 8:00 pm. Each volunteer receives a free ticket to the fair so you can volunteer for a shift and visit the fair the rest of the day.
We are looking for assistance on the following days:
- Sunday, July 30, 2023
- Wednesday, August 2, 2023
- Friday, August 4, 2023
- Thursday, August 10, 2023
- Sunday, August 20, 2023
If you are available and would like to volunteer for either shift, please contact me at b***@a***.com
Regards,
Robert Duffy, TBoI State Fair
