The next Indy Southside Beekeepers Club meeting will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Franklin Township Civic League office, 8822 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239.

Please send your suggestions for this month’s agenda to me by Saturday October 1, 2023. I’ll send the agenda out on Sunday. So far, here are the items for the next meeting:

Recently Jenn Slaughter spent a morning learning how to make beekeeping equipment and to start a business at King Bee in Rockville, IN. If you get a chance check it out! She also got his recipe for protein rich sugar boards and his prices on bottles. (see attachments) He is open to design and make new products, sell lumber, plus 5 gallon buckets of honey.

Michigan State University Has a free online beekeeping course "Is beekeeping right for me?" Is Beekeeping Right for Me? - Pollinators & Pollination (msu.edu). You have to register and get a password in order to take the course.

Southeastern Indiana Beekeepers Association website has lots of good resources.
