The next Indy Southside Beekeepers Club meeting will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Franklin Township Civic League office, 8822 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239.
This month's agenda includes:
Club Business -
1. Treasurer's report
2. Equipment Raffle - we will do a silent raffle of 4 hive tools, a smoker, a bee brush a queen clip and a frame grip from Dave Meyer of Meyer Bees. Raffle tickets will be 50 cents each or 3 for $1. Buy as many as you want and put them in the cup for the item you want. Each item will be raffled separately. The proceeds will go to the Club treasury.

1. Doing spring splits - timing, methods, etc.
2. Requeening in the spring - why requeen a split? Do I need to requeen all of my hives in the spring?
3. How do I prevent my hive from swarming? Has anyone use the Demaree method to prevent swarming?
4. My frames are moldy from winter storage, how do I clean them up?
