Steve Pryor attended the Central Indiana Beekeepers Association meeting last night and has a couple of resources to share:
1. Tim Caldwell, a local beekeeper who helped get our club going, will have package bees this year. Contact Tim directly by calling him at (317) 223-4709. Packages are $140 each. The pickup date is Monday, April 8th. Call or email Tim if you have any questions. (Be sure to mention to Tim that you are with the Indy Southside Beekeepers Club.) Mail checks for $140 /package to Tim at:

2. Some folks are looking for resources for flowers for pollinators. The Indiana Wildlife Federation and Hoosier Wildlife is having a native plan sale. Here is the link and a brief description: https://indianawildlife.org/native-plant-sale/
3. Have you heard a good speaker lately? It would be nice to invite outside speakers to talk to the Club. Let me know and we can work together to invite others to make a presentation.
4. Don't forget to take lots of pictures and share!

Hi Vickie and Tim,

Regarding the date to pick up Bee Packages from Tim. Maybe consider picking them up after April 8th, since this is the day of the Solar Eclipse. People are going to have a hard time driving due to the expected heavy traffic that will be in the area.
